The Language and Sound Project

The Language and Sound Project is a concept-driven program for solo trombone and electronics, exploring the connection between language, text, music, and sound.

The show consists of newly commissioned works from composers in the US, Europe, and the Middle East. The program intertwines different modes of communication, including the contrapuntal language of J.S. Bach,  the language of chimpanzees, Texas cattle auctioneers, and Tuvan throat singing.

Presented across the US, Europe, and South America.
